Moana – Go See It!

As a father of two younger children, there are very few things animated we miss on the big screen.  So of course when then next thing from the all-powerful Mouse came out, it was off to the theater we went.  Now it’s been a long time since we were bored by anything animated from Disney, so we expected to be entertained and Moana did not disappoint.

Ghostbusters (2016) Review, or I Ain’t Afraid of No Reboot

Today the DVD and Blu-ray for the 2016 version of Ghostbusters was released.  I was concerned about how I’d like the movie since I loved the originals so much that I still quote them daily.  In fact I was so concerned that I completely skipped seeing it in theaters and waited for the DVD release.  I can say now that a number of my fears were unfounded and it was worth watching, but I still had some issues with the movie.

Review: Warcraft on Blu Ray/DVD

Review: Warcraft on Blu Ray/DVD

warcraftHaving been a World of Warcraft (WoW) player for a few years, I was skeptical of watching this movie. I have very fond memories of my time on this MMO that Blizzard puts out and didn’t want anything to tarnish it. I especially didn’t want a poor venture to just grab more money to change my outlook on WoW.

I was wrong to be skeptical. The movie was very entertaining.

Review: Storks

storksStorks is an animated movie about the fable of how babies are delivered and what happened to the process. Along the way storks decide to get out of the business of delivering babies and more into delivering merchandise.  A young orphaned girl working with the storks accidentally starts the process of baby delivery again. There’s also a sub story of a little boy named Nate. He wants a little brother in the worst way so he has someone to pay attention to him. He writes the storks on behalf of his parents to get that wish.

Which comes first; book or movie?

Snow White & the Huntsman

Snow White & the Huntsman

I recently saw Snow White & the Huntsman.  I have mixed feelings about the movie and on this take of the fairy tale. Quick plot summary: Snow White is the daughter of a slain king. She is imprisoned by the Kings murderer the new Queen. She escapes and they employ a Huntsman to capture her. Things happen along the way introducing the cast of characters we know from the story.
